About

The sixth school of the CMI community in Bengal started working in April 2016 and is called K. E. Carmel School (Kuriakose Elias Carmel) Suri. With all the rights and benefits bestowed by the Indian constitution, it is administered by the Catholic Minority Community. It is overseen by CMI Dharmanikethan Educational Trust (DET) in Bengal and is a part of the educational ministry of the religious order Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), which is a part of St. Joseph's Province Thiruvananthapuram. Instruction is imparted to children ranging from Nursery to Class VIII. The school is about to get upgraded to class X in the year 2025-26. Presently Rev. Fr. Sebastian Chamathara is the secretary of the Trust, Rev. Fr. Varghese Puthiyaveed is the principal and Rev. Fr. Pious Pakkallil is the financial administrator of the school.
