About

St. Mary's Kaliyal was established in 1967. In the course of years it has developed four mission stations:

St. Mary's Parish, Kaliyal, St. Thomas Mission Station Muzhukod (established 1970), Sacred Heart Mission Station, Pallikonam (established 1972), St. Mary's Mission Station, Penuthadam. At present all these mission stations are in the diocese of Thakalai. St. Mary's Ashram Kaliyal, has developed a cluster of educational institutions, such as St. Mary's High School (1979), Higher Secondary (1988), St. Mary's English Medium School (established 1998), and St. Thomas Nursery School, Muzhukode, Sacred Heart Nursery School, Pallikonam. Presently the province has started also an aspirants house for those of Plus Two students at Kaliyal.
